Well another Friday the 13th had rolled around the 1st of 2 this year. Our weather this spring ( yes thats a joke ) has been late winter conditions and Friday had that kind of forecast ... 6 am it was -2c with windchill of -6c rain and snow flurries for the am , both here and down on Lake Erie...With the day booked off I watch the temps slowly rise and around 10am called Stan for a noon take off...We left it was +3c WC -2c with high winds but no rain or snow ( we saw sunshine at Waterdown ) ...Three layers of cloths and a crazy who cares grin ( Stan had his 1/2 skull face on) we hit the road...On the ride out we took hwy 5 to hwy 24 south ...Just as we pulled up to do our left on 24 Stans Silverrado died ... Battery we think , so we push started it ...We did the 5 mile boot across the 403 to hit 24S and at the top of the ramp his bike died again ...Another push start ( I'm 50 and getting to old to be pushing some 800 lb bike down the side of a hwy ) to get him running ...We backroaded in to PD with no more problems ...We hit Main St. at the downtown top end by Angelos ... It was great to see a few thousand more riders had the same idea as we had....Now some pics ...We did not take a whole lot ( hands were frozen and in that wind most people were just strolling along ) but I think it shows the turnout well ....
We had parked on Main at the top of the hill ( going down to the hwy6 corner ) incase we had to bump start Stan's bike again and we did ...Got help from another biker pushing and away we go... We rode 6 and 403 QEW home with no problems it even started to warm up a bit must of been at least 5c thats about 42f for my American friends ...Next 13th is in July hope we don't have snow on that one...Cya :)>
